<p> </p><p><strong>JOB PURPOSE </strong><em>(Provide an overview of the job, its context in the organization, and the contribution that it makes)</em> </p><p>Maintenance, configurations, and upkeep of Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I) Systems. To keep track of trouble tickets and quick responses to any calls. Responsible for the proper discharge of shift duty as assigned, managing outsourced resources and activities in each shift, and maintenance of shift logs and escalation to the next level in case of exigencies. Assists team in project coordination and enabling works.</p><p><strong>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p><p><em>(List the responsibilities/ duties associated with the job and the major activities associated with each responsibility. Installation, Maintenance, and upkeep of Electronics & Instrumentation systems.</p><p>2. Have a clear understanding of the safety, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting concepts of the Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Suppression Systems.</p><p>3. Works with Service Desk tool and other department staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from internal/external users.</p><p>4. Actively takes part in the Project execution of the E&I system and provides excellent supervision and control by closely monitoring the deliverables by the vendors/contractors and bringing to the DMs/Reporting Managers notice in case of any discrepancy.</p><p>5. Good troubleshooting and analytical skills on all products of E&I systems. </p><p>Ensure that all the E&I equipments communication network is UP” and running.</p><p><strong>Major Activities</strong></p><p>1. Upkeep the systems by following PM schedules. </p><p>2. Attends calls and provides resolution within the agreed SLA time frame.</p><p>3. Take initiative in project activities and assist the team in project documentation, UATs, SATs, and HOTO.</p><p>4. Follows SLAs and provides resolutions on time.</p><p>Monitors communications, and system network health and takes preventive measures to ensure the intact performance of the systems.</p><p><strong><u>Electronics & Instrumentation Systems:</u></strong> Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Suppression Systems, Building Management Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Distributed Control Systems, Advanced Visual Docking Guiding Systems, Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus, and Water Leakage Detection Systems.</p><p><strong>Education qualification and certifications </strong><em>(Indicate the level of education and certifications required) </em></p><p><strong><em>Qualification: Diploma/B.E / B.Tech. – EEE/ECE/E&I.</em></strong></p><p><strong>Years of Experience (</strong><em>Years of relevant experience required): <strong>6 to 8 years.</strong></em></p><p><strong><em>B.E / B.Tech. – EEE/ECE/E&I – With 6 to 8 years.</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Diploma – EEE/ECE/E&I – With 10-12 years.</em></strong></p><p><strong>Computer Skills </strong><em>(Indicate the required knowledge of software, applications, hardware, etc., that are required)</em> </p><ul><li>Operating Systems (Windows 11, Windows Server 2016 and above)</li><li>Office 365</li><li>Outlook 2016, Outlook 365</li><li>Google Drive</li><li>AutoCAD</li></ul><p><strong>4.4.</strong> <strong>Knowledge and work skills </strong><em>[Indicate what knowledge (machines, equipment, processes, systems, etc.,) and work skills are required]</em> Expert knowledge of:</p><p><strong><u>Fire Alarm System and Fire Suppression System</u></strong></p><ul><li>Proficient in Server-Client architecture and its applications, preferably Notifier-ONYX Works.</li><li>Provides hands-on Installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and inspection of Fire detection & Fire suppression systems (Preferably Siemens or Honeywell).</li><li>Possess good knowledge of the Protocols used in Fire & Suppression systems.</li><li>Supervise Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for various Fire & Suppression Systems.</li><li>Replace malfunctioning devices and attend to the troubles of Fire Detection & Fire Suppression systems by programming and configuring in Graphics User Interface.</li><li>Supervising Weekly Routine Inspection & Servicing of various Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression panels.</li><li>Surveying sites to ensure the adequacy of, or to recommend appropriate new, fire detection and suppression systems.</li><li>Undertake modifications and small installations as required.</li><li>Preparing documentation and reports (daily, monthly, annual maintenance & MIS reports).</li><li>Ensuring effective self-management, planning, and delivery of the designated workload.</li><li>Inspects and tests systems, batteries, and wiring; adjusts and repairs as required.</li><li>Ensures systems comply with electrical and fire codes.</li><li>Explains and demonstrates system function and operation to end users.</li><li>Requisition & follow-up with Management for essential Spare Parts as per maintenance requirements (Capex & Opex).</li><li>Able to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, specifications, vendor data, technical data sheets, etc.</li><li>Able to demonstrate general knowledge of NFPA Standards.</li><li>Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365 & Outlook.</li><li>Ability to mentor lower-level technicians.</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Other Systems</u></strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of systems like Building Management Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Distributed Control Systems, Advanced Visual Docking Guiding Systems, Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus, and Water Leakage Detection Systems is an added advantage. </li><li>Knowledge of the IBM Maximo Asset Management/SAP application will be an added advantage.</li><li>Knowledge of server and client workstations and networking.</li></ul><p>Good troubleshooting, analytical skills & knowledge of products mentioned above</p>
